Drum Roll Please!!!!!!!!! We HAVE OUR TeAcHeR!!!!!!

Lakeview United Methodist Church in Minden, La has adopted a Joplin, MO classroom. We are so excited to have "adopted" Shawna McDaniel, a K-2 Special Education teacher at Irving Elementary School. Not only did Shawna lose her classroom that day; between her and her extended family they lost seven cars, three houses, an apartment, two storage units, and their business. We are hoping to be able to relieve her of just some of the stress by completely supplying her classroom with what she needs BEFORE the begining of the scool year!!! The race is on!! Please help Lakeview help Mrs. McDaniel! We have provided lists of items needed below. The lists are broken down in to several different categories to help with the organization/collection process. We plan to update the lists daily to indicate what has been received and what is still needed. PLEASE if you purchase an item, let us know as soon as you can so we are able to keep an accurate, up- to- date list of what is still needed. Thank you so much for all of your support and prayers.

It is NOT TOO Late!!!!

Good evening everyone!!! This is just an update to let everyone know we are still collecting teacher supplies for our "adopted" teacher, Mrs. McDaniel, in Joplin, MO. Friday, July 23 several members of our congregation will be leaving for Joplin, MO on their THIRD mission trip since the devastating tornado! We are still collecting supplies for our teacher. If you thought you missed out on donating stuff.....don't worry!!! Your not TOO late!!!!!! Please review over the lists of items still needed, purchase the items, and leave them at the church. We are so grateful for the overwhelming amount of generosity shown towards this mission! It is so awesome to watch miracles happen right in front of you! Thank you to EVERYONE who has helped with this mission!!!!!!
